There’s this idea in my mind of a place I wish existed. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist in Sydney though I wish it did. Here are some general themes:

  • It caters to night owls that wish they had somewhere chill and cozy they could go after like 9pm that isn’t filled with alcohol/loud obnoxious people and isn’t exclusively a board game cafe or something.
  • It’s a third space
  • It’s got different areas for doing different things for people that want to do different things.
    • You can go there to just hang out with your friends and have some tea/coffee (if you want?)
    • You can go there to work
    • You can go there to study
    • You can go there to meditate (we’ll have a quiet room somewhere)
    • You can go there for events that we hold
    • You can go there just cus it makes you feel good to be there
    • You can go there to play board games (we’ll have a selection)
    • You can go there for a nice meal - we will have really good food late at night that isn’t greasy and gross
    • It’ll be dog friendly (up to a limit)
    • It will serve really good fresh hot chai all the time <- this will be one of the main reasons people come
  • During the day the space can be used as a subscription based commons for co-working/emotional play (way less service oriented - just self-service tea/coffee)
